My husband and I were in Omaha visiting family over the Thanksgiving break, and naturally my sister-in-law and I (being the girls that we are) have been sharing all sorts of stories and ideas. For years, I've been throwing around a Christmas gift idea in my head. I've wanted to put together a gift basket of my favorite things to give to friends and family for the holidays. The idea has always overwhelmed me because the total cost of let's say three of my favorite things can add up pretty quickly. Anyways, my sister-in-law has solved my dilema. She and her four friends are getting together this holiday to exchange one each of their favorite things. For example, they will each come to the party with their favorite things (x4), and exchange. They've set a budget of $15/person, and I think it's the perfect resolution to my somewhat elaborate idea.
Although, I may not be able to pull this idea together for my own group of friends this year, here are a few of my favorite items:
1/
1.18" Stainless Steel Cookie Scoop (Sur la Table - $17) - Keep your hands free of cookie dough with this sturdy device! It's marked as an ice cream scoop, but I've been using it for years to scoop out perfectly portioned cookies.
2/
L'Occitane Sweet Almond Liquid Soap (L'Occitane - $24) - This generously sized hand soap is mildly scented and oh so gentle on your skin. I'm not a big fan of overly scented soaps, so this might be a nice option for sensitive noses : )
3/
Kiehl's Hand & Body Lotion and
Liquid Cleanser (Kiehl's - see website for size and price) - The scents and formulations are so incredibly mild. Grapefruit is my favorite, and Coriander is a close second.

Those are all great! Andie and I learned in our Trophy Cupcake workshop that the cookie dough/ice cream scoop doles out the perfect amount frosting, too.
maybe the perfect amount of frosting if you like a LOT OF FROSTING
