We're beginning to plan a honeymoon (gasp!). We thought it wouldn't happen because of the hefty bill we would have afterward, but have decided to go ahead with it anyway. Christian and I will be cruising to seven Mediterranean ports: Barcelona, Spain; Marseilles, France; Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy; Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Venice, Italy; and Messina (Sicily), Italy. I'm ecstatic! I haven't been to Europe since I was a kid, and Christian has never been off the continent! It's been fun daydreaming about our trip, and in the meantime, I've assembled my favorite holiday items for the honeymoon. Some of these I've actually gone ahead with (thank you, Rick Steves) and some are still on the wishlist, but it's so fun to dream about. What's on your summer holiday wishlist?

1. Dunbar Clubmaster Sunglasses from
Urban Outfitters, $14. Nice, pretty gold to match my ring! :)
2. Adorable straw Chambray Trilby Hat from
J. Crew, $40
3. We're studying up! Rick Steves' travel books are the best in the business. Check out his website,
here.
4. Anchors aweigh skirted tank swimsuit. I snagged this fast! From
J. Crew, $125.
5. This is a dream item for sure: Refined silk-cashmere wrap from
J. Crew in cherise. Yumsy! $75
6. Bueno Honey Overnighter from
Target, $39.99. I'll be stuffing this in my suitcase to bring back full...of wine and truffles and Italians?

How fun! My hubby and I are headed to France and Northern Spain for a wedding followed by our own travels.
Yay! I love traveling... A few more items!
Comfy (ie walkable, very important) but stylish (ie doesn't scream tourist) sandals that can dress up or down.
A knit/jersery dress (or one that otherwise won't wrinkle). I got a perfect black one from J Crew a year ago but here are current ones: http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/dresses/knit/PRDOVR~62301/62301.jsp
or a maxi??

Accessories (lipstick, scarf, jewelry) can turn a daytime sight-seeing-on-Palatine-Hill outfit into a dinner-on-a-Roman-terrace outfit. In my opinion, they're worth the little bit of packing space.
How about a stylish camera strap? They have loads on Etsy.
