Stifled Creativity and What the Heck to Do About It!

Are you the kind of person that will get a creative buzz from blogs and books that you read and then have no idea how to channel it? I am that way. I will get ten million fabulous ideas and then end up sitting on my couch watching Real Housewives thinking about how great it would be to put them into action.

Our good friend, Tif Fussell of Dottie Angel calls this reaction (or inaction), Mr. Doubter. Probably the cutest name for a son-of-a-bee that I've ever heard. Recently, Danielle of The Jealous Curator contacted us with the good old shove that most of us need. It's called the Girl Crush Tea Party. A bunch of cities, a bunch of creative hosts, and a hands-on experience meant to grow your "you," whatever that might be. Assemble will be hosting the Seattle Girl Crush Tea Party on May 19th with Tif Fussell and Danielle, and sponsors, Uppercase & Trophy Cupcakes (hint: that means you get to eat them). There are only a few seats left! *UPDATE: Girl Crush Seattle is SOLD OUT!!!*

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

We are so excited to announce that we will have Rena Tom (founder of Rare Device) as a guest at Assemble for a special mini-workshop about retail readiness, on July 9th, from 6:30-9pm.

Interested in Etsy, BigCartel or craft/trade shows but don't know where to get started? Or are you already selling and need some great tips on how to succeed? I'd take it from her, if anyone! PLUS! It coincides with Urban Craft Uprising, so if you're planning a trip out for one, definitely stay for the other. Click the image for more info:

You might have seen on twitter, but I won Rena's giveaway on SFGirlByBay, so I will for sure be there for retail readiness. Woohoo!
